Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. The BDR will play a key role in driving new business opportunities, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with a passion for sales and an interest in the promotional merchandise industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation:
- Identify and research potential clients within targeted industries.
- Utilize various tools and strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media, to generate leads.
- Qualify leads based on company-defined criteria and assess their potential fit for our services.
- Outreach and Engagement:
- Initiate contact with prospective clients through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
- Present and pitch the company’s promotional merchandise offerings to potential clients.
- Develop and maintain a consistent follow-up schedule to nurture leads and move them through the sales funnel.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and foster relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to tailor outreach strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Sales Pipeline Management:
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, sales activities, and progress.
- Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and support the closing process.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, pipeline growth, and sales targets.
- Market Research and Industry Knowledge:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to help refine strategies and improve offerings.
- Event and Trade Show Participation:
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and promote our brand.
- Assist in the organization and execution of company-hosted events and webinars.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ongoing training and education.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably within the promotional products, marketing, or B2B industries.
- Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Commonsku, Zoom Info, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online sales tools (e.g., LinkedIn, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
- Proficiency in conducting presentations in Zoom and or Teams.
