Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. The BDR will play a key role in driving new business opportunities, generating leads, and building relationships with potential clients. This position is ideal for a results-driven individual with a passion for sales and an interest in the promotional merchandise industry
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify and research potential clients within targeted industries.
Utilize various tools and strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media, to generate leads.
Qualify leads based on company-defined criteria and assess their potential fit for our services.
Outreach and Engagement:
Initiate contact with prospective clients through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
Present and pitch the company’s promotional merchandise offerings to potential clients.
Develop and maintain a consistent follow-up schedule to nurture leads and move them through the sales funnel.
Relationship Building:
Establish and foster relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to tailor outreach strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
Sales Pipeline Management:
Maintain and update CRM with accurate and detailed records of all client interactions, sales activities, and progress.
Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and support the closing process.
Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, pipeline growth, and sales targets.
Market Research and Industry Knowledge:
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities.
Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to help refine strategies and improve offerings.
Event and Trade Show Participation:
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate leads and promote our brand.
Assist in the organization and execution of company-hosted events and webinars.
Other duties as assigned.
Ongoing training and education.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role, preferably within the promotional products, marketing, or B2B industries.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Commonsku, Zoom Info, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with social media platforms and online sales tools (e.g., LinkedIn, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
Proficiency in conducting presentations in Zoom and or Teams.
